Everything you need to know about generating, customizing, and printing scannable QR codes with guaranteed in-browser privacy.

How to Use This Generator

01

Choose Format

Select one of the 7 payload chips at the top of the card: Website URL, Plain Text, Wi-Fi, Email, Phone Number, SMS, or vCard.

02

Enter Payload

Type or paste your information. The live preview automatically renders with off-screen debounced computation so typing remains fluid.

03

Customize Palette

Adjust foreground and background colors or pick curated presets. The real-time contrast monitor ensures your code meets the 3.5:1 optical scanning standard.

04

Download Asset

Click Download PNG for a high-res 1024×1024 px raster image, or Download SVG for an infinitely scalable vector asset.

The 7 Supported Content Formats

Type 01

Website URL

Encodes full http:// or https:// links. When scanned by a phone camera, it immediately prompts the user to open the URL in their default browser. Perfect for marketing posters, product packaging, and business cards.

Type 02

Plain Text & Multilingual

Stores arbitrary text encoded as UTF-8 bytes. Full international language support including Bangla (বাংলা), Arabic, and emoji. A density warning alerts you if text exceeds 600 bytes to keep printed QR codes easy to scan.

Type 03

Wi-Fi Network Credentials

Conforms to the universal ZXing WIFI:S:...;T:...;P:...;; barcode standard. Guests scan your code to connect directly without typing complex passwords. Supports WPA/WPA2/WPA3, WEP, open networks, and hidden SSIDs.

Type 04

Direct Email (mailto)

Standard RFC 6068 mailto: URI. Scanning prompts the smartphone to open its native mail client with the recipient address, subject line, and draft message body already filled in.

Type 05

Telephone Number (tel)

RFC 3966 standard tel: protocol. Formats international dial numbers (e.g. +1, +880). When scanned, the phone dialer opens with the number pre-populated for one-tap calling.

Type 06

SMS Text Message

Cross-platform SMSTO: protocol recognized across iOS Camera and Android Google Lens. Pre-fills recipient phone number and optional default SMS text message for customer inquiries.

Type 07

Digital vCard 3.0

Universal electronic business card format. Packages first name, last name, organization, job title, phone number, email, website URL, and postal address. Scanning immediately imports the contact into iOS and Android Contacts.

Colours, Optical Contrast & SVG Vectors

Colour Customisation & Quiet Zones

Traditional QR codes use stark black on white. With our custom palette controls, you can tailor foreground modules and background surfaces to match your corporate branding:

  • Quiet Zone Preservation: A mandatory 4-module border is always rendered in your chosen background color to allow barcode readers to distinguish code boundaries from surrounding graphics.
  • Hex Code Synchronization: Input colors using the visual picker or type exact 6-character hex values (e.g. #C8102E) for pixel-accurate brand consistency.
  • One-Click Presets: Quickly toggle between curated palettes including NinoMax Crimson, Slate Navy, Forest Emerald, and Charcoal Cream.

Contrast Safety & Inversion Protection

Camera sensors rely on optical edge-detection algorithms to locate barcode finder patterns. If the contrast between modules and background is too weak, phone cameras will fail to focus:

  • 3.5:1 Minimum Threshold: We evaluate relative luminance in real time using the WCAG/ISO formula. Ratios below 3.5:1 trigger an explicit warning and disable downloads.
  • Inversion Guard: Inverted color schemes (light modules on dark background) are flagged because many consumer barcode readers cannot parse inverted patterns.

Export Formats & 100% In-Browser Privacy

Dual Export Assets: PNG & SVG

We provide two complementary production-ready formats for every generated code:

  • PNG Image (1024 × 1024 px): High-resolution raster file rendered with Level-M error correction. Sharp on retina screens, social sharing, and standard digital displays.
  • Scalable Vector SVG: Pure XML vector graphic rendered with shape-rendering="crispEdges". Infinitely scalable without pixelation, ideal for Adobe Illustrator, Figma, laser engraving, packaging, and large-format billboard print.

Zero-Tracking Privacy Guarantee

Unlike many online QR generators that route links through proprietary redirect servers or log user queries, Ninomax is engineered with a strict client-side guarantee:

  • 100% Client-Side Execution: All barcode generation executes entirely inside your browser's local memory thread via JavaScript Canvas and SVG generation.
  • No Server Logs or Telemetry: Entered URLs, text, passwords, Wi-Fi credentials, and contact cards are NEVER transmitted across a network, saved to cookies, or stored in any database.

Technical Boundaries & Printing Best Practices

  • Static 2D Barcodes: This tool produces standard static QR codes. The encoded data is permanently baked into the matrix. To change destination URLs later, regenerate a new code or use an established domain you control.
  • Minimum Physical Print Sizing: For standard scanning from 20–30 cm away, print QR codes at a minimum size of 2 × 2 cm (0.8 × 0.8 inches). For posters and banners, maintain a 10:1 distance-to-size ratio.
  • Physical Scanning Verification: While automated decode tests verify pixel integrity, always test printed sample proofs with physical iOS and Android cameras under real-world lighting before mass commercial printing.
